Abstract/Contents:Describes the traditional use of fine-leaf fescue on putting greens in Scotland and the need to preserve the traditional character of the greens on the oldest golf courses as part of golf's heritage. Discusses the desire to duplicate these conditions in other parts of the world. Provides a list of specific conditions that need to be in place in order to sustain fine-leaf fescue dominant putting greens. Also provides a list of cultural practices that are required to sustain fine-leaf fescue greens.
