Abstract/Contents: | Discusses several causes of chlorosis in turf. "Chlorosis...can be caused by lack of Chlorophyll production or abnormal breakdown of chlorophyll levels." Describes the conditions that can induce chlorosis including nutrient deficiencies, senescence, environmental stress, and genetic factors. Suggests that often times certain diseases are suspected of causing chlorosis, but generally do not cause uniform chlorosis spreading over large areas of the greens. Includes some recommendations for controlling chlorotic turf. |
