| Abstract/Contents: | "In recent years, annual bluegrass has quickly reached epidemic proportions for many Carolina golf courses. Reasons for this are numerous: (a) a variety of biotypes are present; (b) the switch on many golf courses to the similar Poa trivialis for overseeding greens reduces herbicide options ; (c) increased overseeding of fairways which typically increases Poa annua populations; and, (d) the occurrence of herbicide resistant plants. The following discusses various Poa control options in overseeded bermudagrass." |
