Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the need for traffic control on turf during the winter to prevent damage to the grass. Also discusses how new golfers do not know of the traditions or standards that are practiced on golf courses. Suggests that one way to keep the golf course in perfect condition for the summer season, is to keep the golfers off the golf course. Suggests that greenkeepers condemn all winter play. Describes who to blame for the deterioration of the greens. In addition, irrigation on the fairways is discussed. |
