| Abstract/Contents: | Presents the first results of the South Florida section of an ultradwarf bermudagrass variety trial conducted within the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) National Turfgrass Evaluation Program. The trials are being conducted to develop an independent comparative database on the performance of these new bermudagrass varieties. The varieties being tested include: MS-Supreme, TifEagle, Mini-Verde, Champion, Floradwarf, and two standards (Tifdwarf and Tifgreen). Describes the methods of testing and mentions some of the preliminary results, which include percent cover ratings and turfgrass quality ratings. |
