Abstract/Contents:Examines the results of two experiments conducted to determine controls for necrotic fairy rings on golf course turf. The first experiment tested ProStar, Aqua-Gro and tank mixes of the two fungicides on Tifdwarf bermudagrass at the Fort Lauderdale Research and Education Center. Results showed that ProStar treatments, with or without the soil wetting agent, did stop mushroom production. The second experiment was conducted at the Sun 'N Lake Golf Club in Florida to determine the use of ProStar as a preventative herbicide. ProStar was found to prevent the appearance of necrotic fairy rings.
