Abstract/Contents:Evaluates the effects of three mowing heights on three bentgrass cultivars in all possible combinations under putting green conditions. Includes tables of results. Concludes that a mowing height of 0.125 inches or less has a very high biological price, bentgrass cultivar has an effect on the biological effects of low mowing height, rootzone composition has little effect when bentgrass greens are pushed to their limits, and that "ideal" mowing height is around 0.156 inches.
