Abstract/Contents:Evaluates thatch degradation and growth stimulation in the absence of routine fertilization of creeping bentgrass under fairway conditions. Co-cultures of two bacteria were applied to observe effect on thatch and growth stimulation. The treatments included combinations of Cellulomonas and Azosprillium, with and without extra cellulose, Trichodermia, and Phlebia fungi. None of the treatments were proven to effect thatch thickness or growth. Includes graphs and tables of specific results.
