| Abstract/Contents: | Describes the virtues and use tips of pre-emergence herbicides. Separation of the classes of herbicides is discussed. Four dinitroanilines are covered, as well as the highlights of a couple triazine herbicides. Pennant is an acid amide herbicide which is in detail. There are a few things that have to be taken into consideration to optimize performance of pre-emergence herbicides. Lawn preparation, mowing, application, and irrigation are the key factors to remember when applying herbicides. One must remember that turfgrass may show injury with the application of herbicides. |
