Abstract/Contents: | Provides an answer to the following question: What are your thoughts on controlling encroachment of bermudagrass into our bentgrass greens? Presents common traits of courses with minimum bermudagrass encroachment. Traits include: greens and collars built with similar topsoil mix and drainage, collars grown with bentgrass, zoysiagrass, or perennial ryegrass, routine removal of bermudagrass patches or runners, and use of certain herbicides or plant growth regulators. Briefly discusses research being done on this problem. |
