| Abstract/Contents: | Describes the research done on bentgrass cultivars and selections under putting green conditions from 1993 to 1997. During September 1993 at Joseph Valentine Turfgrass Research Center in University Park, Pa there were 28 bentgrass cultivars and selections established for testing of performance and characteristics. All assessments taken from this research were done visually. In 1996, cool temperature brown patch became evident in the area. Penneagle and Cato were among the top-rated cultivars for overall turfgrass quality. |
