| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses two experiments conducted in 1998 to evaluate the control of smooth crabgrass after emergence into a mature Midnight Kentucky bluegrass stand, which was maintained at 7/8 inches using a triplex reel mower. This experiment was conducted in order to assess efficacy of selected herbicides at two stages of crabgrass growth. This was evaluated both prior to and after tillering. Only two of the tested herbicides exceeded the level of acceptability of 85% control. |
