Abstract/Contents: | Discusses practices that can be done in the fall to reduce the over-wintering insect and disease populations in the landscape the following spring. Practices include: scouting the woodlot for gypsy moth egg masses, treating spruces and Douglas fir with insecticidal soap, lindane, dursban or sevin to prevent a repeat of Eastern and Cooley spruce gall, fall clean up of disease sites, and maintenance pruning. |
