Abstract/Contents: | Suggests that the GreenTech Integrated Turf Management System (ITM®) is the highest quality and the most durable natural-grass sports-turf product on the market. The grass can withstand many different environments such as domes and withstand many different types of events such as concerts. An ITM system is constructed of a growing medium, and a grass variety that is picked to meet the requirements of the stadium. The modular system allows for ventilation, drainage and aeration. A benefit is the ability to replace worn turf with fully rooted and mature turf. Discusses some of the details of the ITM such as contained root zone environment, the modular design, the sub-surface air and water channels and the individual interlocking design which holds the turf together. |
