Abstract/Contents: | Sorghum halepense was well controlled by 1.7 kg glyphosate/ha and 0.1 kg DPX-5648 [sulfometuron]/ha at one location and by 1.7 + 0.3 kg of this mixture at another. Cynodon dactylon was severely affected by these treatments but recovered within 60 days. Glyphosate applied in April controlled S. halepense for about 60 days but gave more than 140 days control when applied in July. C. dactylon density was reduced more by a July than by an April application of glyphosate. |
