Abstract/Contents: | Stabilization of banks along the Johnson and Goodwin Creeks near Batesville, Mississippi was studied. Crown vetch had a survival rate of 83% and all grass spp. (Panicum virgatum, Paspalum notatum, Bermuda grass, Buchloe dactyloides, Panicum hemitomon and Phalaris arundinacea) formed a good dense ground cover. Native spp. were better than introduced spp. of both grasses and woody plants. |
