Abstract/Contents: | Presents the results of a study examining the fate of granular insecticide carriers in the turfgrass environment. The movements of three different carriers were tracked and the rate of release of their active ingredients examined. The effects of mowing, irrigation and type of grass were also studied. All the experimental factors were found to affect granule fate; however, irrigation and granule type had the strongest impact. Biodac carriers were found to break down very quickly and thus lead to less danger of environmental damage. |
