Abstract/Contents:The effects of B contained in fly ash on yields and B contents of white clover, lucerne and Bermudagrass grown on an acid or a calcareous soil treated with 0-8% by wt. of fly ash were studied in the greenhouse. Plant B accumulation increased with increasing rate of fly ash application and depended on soil type. Lucerne gave the lowest response to fly ash B. Yields of white clover were greatly reduced, especially on the acid soil, but those of lucerne and Bermudagrass were not affected. There was a positive linear relation between plant tissue B content and the B conc. in water saturation extracts of treated soils.
