Abstract/Contents: | "The purpose of this experiment was to evaluate the susceptibility of Japanese beetle (JB) first, second, and third instars to Steinernema glaseri infective juveniles when applied in the field at 0.5 billion per acre. In order to control occurrence of larval stages and insure efficacy data, a method of caging mated JB adults over test plots was used ... The chemical standard Turcam was the only treatment to significantly reduce JB larvae. Data suggest the pre-oviposition application of Steinernema glaseri was the most efficacious but was not significantly different from any of the treatments." |
