Abstract/Contents: | "Several turfgrass species were tested with different rates of fertilization and irrigation, and different mowing frequencies. Dry mass production, responses to summer and winter, sward density, tread resistance, resistance to red thread disease, and overall endurance were researched and evaluated. Fine-leafed fescue species are most suitable when low fertilizer and water quantities are used, especially under low maintenance conditions. The differences between species are more pronounced in low maintenance conditions than high maintenance conditions." |
