Abstract/Contents: | Today's managers should ask themselves the following questions in order to evaluate management duties: "1. What makes some managers succeed and others fail? 2. What training does a good manager need? 3. What key insights do successful managers possess? 4. Is my company prospering as it should? 5. Am I doing my job as good as I should? 6. How much effort should I spend to increase my management skills?" "Basically, the manager's job is to make the best use of all his resources, including his physical equipment, his money, and, most importantly, his employees' performance in conducting activities according to planned action. Defined in this way, management can be expressed as the art and science of combining the physical, financial, and human resources of a business to meet predetermined courses of action in a most effective way." |
