Abstract/Contents:"Grass species commonly referred to as 'Ornamental Grasses' can be utilized in plantings to produce a dramatic visual effect. Ornamental plantings have been generally ignored as a tool for providing accent and contrast. Out of approximately 50 grasses which are thought of as having ornamental value, the following eight are most useful and adaptable as landscape plants:" Chinese silvergrass, eulalia grass, maiden grass, plume grass or ravennae grass, pampas, fountain, weeping lovegrass, and sheep fescue. Also listed are companies that may be useful for those interested in obtaining ornamental grass seeds or plants.
