Abstract/Contents:This study was conducted at the University of Kentucky Spindletop Research Farm near Lexington, KY. Two test plots of Poa pratensis are involved in this study. Plot 1, established in 1985, contains 74 named and experimental varieties. Plot 2, established in 1990, includes 144 named and experimental varieties. In the study, mowing heights were kept at 1.5 inches. Irrigation was used only in times of severe drought. Fertilizer applications of 3lb/1000ft² were applied annually during the fall and early winter. Visual quality ratings were obtained monthly March through October. Includes two tables summarizing the results of the two plots studied, as observed through 1991.
