| Abstract/Contents: | Presents tests of commercially available and experimental postemergence herbicides on established plots of Poa pratensis (cvs. 'Adelphi' and 'Kenblue'). The test area was seeded in late March with crabgrass seed. Two tests were conducted in subsequent years. Results for the first test include: percent crabgrass control; quality, color, and density of bluegrass when herbicides were applied at the crabgrass pre-tiller stage; and crabgrass control, quality, color, and density of other weeds when herbicides were applied at the post-tiller stage. Results provided from the second test include visual quality and color of turf, density of other weeds, and crabgrass density and control percentages. |
