Abstract/Contents:Evalutes various fungicides for control of dollar spot and brown patch in creeping bentgrass (Agrostis palustris). ASC-66825, Banner, Bayleton 25TO, Curalan F, Lynx 25DF, Sentinel, and Vorlan F provided the best dollar spot control of the fungicides tested. "Daconil 2787 was poor at the first assessment but was good at later assessments. Fungo 85DF failed to control dollar spot." Resistance to benzimidazole fungicides had been noted in tests conducted six years before; this persisted in this test. ASC-66518, ASC-66608, ASC-66825, Banner, Daconil 2787, and Sentinel provided the best control of brown patch. Curalan F and Vorlan F were the poorest, as well as Margosan-O, but the latter may have been due to its low concentration of its active ingredient. Sentinel caused plots to turn darker green and have a coarser texture. Similar effects to a lesser extent were also observed in ASC-66608.
