Abstract/Contents: | Reports that low fertility regime is recognizable by unhealthy Poa annua in the midst of unaffected Agrostis tenuis (browntop bent). In test cases, the primary problem was nutrient related, since Poa annua requires higher fertility than browntop. "Phosphorus is of particular importance and low phosphorus levels are considered to have been the fundamental cause of the problem." Describes the solution to the problem to be a thorough soil testing and identification of the inadquate nutrients, followed by an easy change in fertilization to account for the inadequacies. |
