Abstract/Contents: | "A detailed study of 152 coastal dune sites throughout Florida indicates that several native or naturalized plants can be used for vegetating coastal dunes. Grasses were found to be the most important plants on the dunes. Their growth habits and adaptability to dune conditions make them especially valuable in preventing erosion and for landscaping. Information is given on these grasses such as common and scientific name, growth form, climatic adaptation, methods of propagation and other pertinent facts." |
