Abstract/Contents: | Addresses the question in the following letter: "My customers want their yards cleared of leaves by Thanksgiving but many trees don't drop them until December. Is there any way to make trees drop their leaves earlier." Stresses that early leaf drop treatments cause undue stress to trees. Provides some alternatives, such as mechanical methods (e.g. leaf blower), or reducing/eliminating nitrogen application on turf around trees. |
