| Abstract/Contents: | "The purpose of our study is to determine the effectiveness of low-rate, frequent interval application of chlorothalonil for control of dollar spot...on four bentgrass cultivars under Missouri summer conditions." The four cultivars tested were Penncross, G-2, Pennlinks and Crenshaw. Fungicide treatments used include no fungicide, weekly application of chlorothalonil at 1/4 the label rate, weekly application at 1/2 the label rate, and application every other week at the label rate. The cultivars 'Penncross', 'G-2' and 'Pennlinks' provided no treatment data due to very low disease pressure. For 'Crenshaw', chlorothalonil at 1/4x rates did not provide sufficient disease control. However, the 1/2x treatment gave slightly better control than the 1x treatment. |
