Abstract/Contents: | Recommends allowing a small layer of thatch to accumulate in your turf to improve the wear and temperature resistance of your grass, but warns that the plant may develop its crown, roots, and rhizomes in the thatch layer instead of the soil. Displays tables detailing how turfgrass is not as productive when grown in thatch as compared to turfgrass grown in soil. |
