| Abstract/Contents: | Insecticides were evaluated for the control of Herpetogramma and Crambus spp. on the Tifgreen variety of Bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon) in Florida. Akton O-(2-chloro-1-(2,5-dichlorophenyl)vinyl) O,O-diethyl phosphorothioate) provided excellent control for at least 5 weeks or 2 generations of the larvae, and gave significantly better control than any of the other 14 insecticides tested. Formulations of Bacillus thuringiensis provided control for 1-2 weeks. |
