Abstract/Contents:Presents a study to "determine what fungi are present in diseased and symptomless turf samples over the course of a year at participation golf courses." Six courses participated in the study. The results are discussed and include: disease diagnosis varies greatly, even within clubs; pathogens do not appear singly; Microdochium patch, anthracnose, and yellow patch were the primary problems; Microdochium bolleyi was found in diseased and healthy plants; Pythium was present year-round; there were no associations between cultural practices and anthracnose development; and winter anthracnose was not limited to the winter season. Other results are also discussed.
