Abstract/Contents: | Discusses incompatible uses of New Zealand turf playing areas (i.e. rugby vs. cricket) with regards to play frequency and bad management. States that good turf management and renovation are achieved by providing adequate drainage, weed spraying, oversowing of a suitable grass species, topdressing, and fertilization. Experience, understanding, basic knowledge, and a feel for the job are the components for success as a turf manager. |
