| Abstract/Contents: | Work in New Zealand, UK and USA is reviewed. Pre-em. applications of ethofumesate are often impossible when Lolium spp. are undersown but an autumn treatment of ethofumesate at 1-1.5 kg/ha controls Alopecurus myosuroides, Poa trivalis, Hordeum murinum and Stellaria media and is well tolerated by ryegrass. Control of Avena fatua is unreliable. |
