Abstract/Contents:Suggests that there needs to be a balance between a quality golf course with a quality environment. Describes the Audubon Sanctuary Program's five different areas that make up a quality environment: Water Quality, Water Conservation, Integrated Pest Management, Wildlife and Habitat, and Outreach and Education. Suggests that the certification process does not require a lot of money. Discusses how Audubon also has a School Adoption Program, Business Program, and a Backyard Program. Emphasizes that everyone, including the golf course industry, needs to be concerned about the environment.
