Abstract/Contents: | Discusses evaluations of strains "known to be effective biological control agents of Pythium and Rhizoctonia." Tests were conducted in a growth chamber and in a laboratory. Results indicate that "strains of Enterobacter cloacae and Erwinia herbicola were effective in suppressing P. aphanidermatum and Rhizoctonia solani in laboratory and growth chamber (30C) experiments after 4 and 21 days, respectively following one application of the bacterial suspension." |
