| Abstract/Contents: | "Zoysiagrass as a warm species is recognized to have intermediate shade tolerance. Considerable genetic diversity exist within the Zoysia genus however, little information is available on the relative shade tolerance of the commercial and experimental varieties being tested in the 1991 National Turfgrass Evaluation Program Trials. In previous work it has been observed that some Zoysia genotypes have excellent shade tolerance (Morton, et al., 1991). It was the objective of this study to continue the evaluation of the turf performance of 25 Zoysia genotypes when maintained under shade." |
