Abstract/Contents:"Shade tolerance of three vegetative zoysiagrass genotypes was evaluated in a replicated trial in Hawaii. Zoysiagrasses were grown in full sun, and under shadecloth rated at 63 and 80 percent shade. During the first year of the study, all entries had superior turf quality ratings in the full sun. At both 63 and 80 percent shade, the experimental line had higher turf quality that the two commercial varieties."
