Abstract/Contents: | Refutes an article printed in the May/June 1999 issue of Southern Golf entitled "World Golf Village Hits the Financial Rough." Ruffin Beckwith, Executive Director of World Golf Village states that the article was full of inaccuracies and that "no artifacts from the Pinehurst facility have been lost as you reported." The editor's note concedes that "though the artifacts may not be lost, many of the treasures that made the Pinehurst Hall of Fame invaluable are missing from the current displays. One small item we found no evidence of is the pictorial display of the Ryder Cup, for which Southern Golf Magazine donated several thousand dollars 15 years ago!" |
