| Abstract/Contents: | "For the express purpose of evaluating new bermudagrass varieties, the National Turf Evaluation Program (NTEP) established a national bermudagrass trial in 1992. The performance of twenty-six bermudagrass varieties are currently being evaluated at more than 20 locations across the United States. Data presented herein describe performance of the twenty-six entries at the TAES-Dallas location." Data analyzed includes establishment, color, spring greenup and winter color retention, flowering culm densities, pink snow mold resistance, overall quality, and performance. "Our observations on the 1992 NTEP bermudagrasses suggest that the available varieties of bermudagrass vary considerably in their degree of adaptation to the North Central Texas region." |
