Abstract/Contents: | Describes how cities and companies are finding it profitable to add locations for the receiving, processing and shipping of compost materials, as well as the sale of compost. Describes a plant in the Tidewater area of Virginia and the problems that they have had with satellite sites and a method to improve it. Another plant discussed the collection and transport program in Montgomery County, Maryland and its proram improvements. Details how multiple sites can be used to cut down on the amount of space needed for composting. |
