Abstract/Contents: | Differentiates between advertisement efforts and public relations. Lists aspects of good public relations, and the benefits of having good public relations. Displays the visible aspects of a golf course which can generate interest in the course: greenkeepning, club management, golf education programs, gastronomy, and the pro shop. Describes the "three cornerstones" of public relations: the intended audience, the "instruments" (e.g. the press, member publications), and the media. Gives examples of how greenkeepers can use these "cornerstones". |
