Abstract/Contents:Disusses an experiment designed to test older varieties of bentgrasses against newer varieties on golf courses. Evaluates percent green cover and wear quality, dollar spot disease, and winter color. "Based on the 4-year (1994 to 1998)...many newer creeping bentgrass cultivars performed better than the older cultivars...Ratings from the fairway/tee trial seeded September 1995 also indicated that many newer creeping bentgrass cultivars and selections performed better than the older cultivars."
