| Abstract/Contents: | Captan, thiram and verdasan, sprayed on leaves of Agrostis tenuis in plots, reduced the frequency of isolation of A. fumigatus while with dicloran it was similar to the control. Increasing concs. of all 4 fungicides reduced or prevented growth and sporulation in liquid medium. The fungus could tolerate higher concs. of HgCl2 than of verdasan. All 4 fungicides at 0.5 mu g/ml reduced the rates of mycelial growth, but not the max. amount of mycelial dry wt. attained. |
