| Abstract/Contents: | Errors in the L value in soils of low P arise with variation in the seeds of the test plant, usually Lolium spp. (100-seed wt. 180 mg, seed P content 556 mu g), used. These errors were estimated using the small-seeded sp. common bent (Agrostis tenuis) (100-seed wt. 12 mg, P content 58 mu g). From the results, a modified equation for estimating L value, which takes into account the initial P content of the seed, has been calculated. |
