| Abstract/Contents: | "An experiment was designed to evaluate the role of ACA864 (Primer) in improving the leaching of salts on a golf course green where poor quality water and salt accumulation were problems. Following six monthly applications of ACA864 at 6 ounces/1000 square feet, no differences in turf visual quality were observed. However, soil chemistry analyses revealed significantly decreased levels of sodium at one sampling depth, on one sampling date. Unfortunately, significant increases in boron and electrical conductivity readings were also observed in the Primer treated plots on one sampling date. Overall, the data indicated little, if any, positive impact of ACA864 on turf quality or soil chemistry. No phytotoxicity was observed." |
