| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the results of the 1991 National Turfgrass Evaluation Program buffalograss trial conducted at TAES-Dallas. Twenty-two entries were evaluated for overall quality, percentage green cover, spring green-up, summer green cover, winter green color retention, color, density, texture, dormancy, differences between seeded and vegetatively propagated entries, and overall performance. Results indicate that "according to the cumulative TPI scores over 4 yr, seven vegetative cultivars, 609, Prairie, Buffalawn, Highlight 4, Highlight 25, Rutgers, and Highlight 15 ranked highest, followed by three seeded entries, Sharp's, Plains, and NTDG 3." |
