| Abstract/Contents: | "Four formualtions of Proguard® (cinnamic aldehyde) were field tested for their efficacy in controlling Sclerotinia dollarspot, Rhizoctonia foliar blight and Pythium foliar blight on a bentgrass green. Proguard A, B and C were effective against foliar blighting of all three turfgrass diseases on inoculated bentgrass following weekly applications over a five week perioid [period]. Formulation D was also efficacious following one spray however phytotoxicity symptoms prevented its further testing on bentgrass. Additional observations on the control of natural infestations of dollar spot also evidenced disease control by all four of the Proguard (A, B, C and D) formulations." |
