Abstract/Contents:"A survey was used to determine fungicide usage patterns on Dallas/Fort Worth area golf courses. The survey inquired as to the most used fungicides used as well [as] application volumes for products used. The occurrence of algae as a management problem on golf course greens was also determined along with methods used to control algae. Fifty-six percent of the 43 golf courses contacted responded to the survey. Ninty-six [Ninety-six] percent of the respondents used fungicides as part of their management program. Daconil 2787®, Subdue®, Chipco 26019®, and Fore® were listed as the top four fungicides used products and the volume of application of 1-3 gallons/1000ft² was most widely used by superintendents. Algae was a problem on 75 percent of golf courses responding with the primary method of algae control were cultural/mechanical methods of control."
