Abstract/Contents:Discusses a study involving three objectives: "A long-term rehydration study was designed to determine how long entomopathogenic nematodes could survive low moisture soil conditions and still be reactivated (by rehydration) to infect insects; a deactivation study exposed active, infective nematodes in high moisture soil to low moisture conditions and determined the soil moistures at which each nematode species no longer caused insect mortality; [and] a reactivation study determined the soil moisture level to which 3 nematodes isolates had to be raised in order to cause insect mortality, after the nematodes had been exposed to low soil moisture conditions."
